Indwell will be coming soon to the City of Brantford!

Indwell recently purchased property at 452 Grey Street where we anticipate that up to 100 units of deeply affordable, permanent supportive apartments will be built. Indwell anticipates that this will be the first project toward achieving a goal of 200 units of affordable supportive housing in Brantford in the coming years.

Supportive housing is a whole-of-community effort. Indwell looks forward to continuing to work with the City and engaging community members in advancing housing and health solutions to address homelessness in the City of Brantford.

Project funding is anticipated from three main areas: community contributions; a request to be made to the City of Brantford for an investment of $62,500 per unit through their housing plan; and the federal government (Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation). Residents will pay rent, and operating funding will be sought from the Ministry of Health for health supports and from Indwell’s community of supporters.
